Assemblyman Frazier learns firsthand about food processor transportation issues

CLFP provided California Assembly Transportation Committee Chair Jim Frazier, (D-Oakley), with a firsthand look at the transportation issues facing California food processors. In September, CLFP arranged for Frazier and several of his staff members to tour Morning Star’s Liberty Packing Company in Los Banos, Calif., Frazier also met with key staff from Morning Star, the California Trucking Association and CLFP. The group discussed transportation issues facing the food processing industry and ways to resolve them. Issues discussed included truck driver labor challenges, emission reductions and port concerns.
