Learn How to Comply with New FSMA Rules at Food Processing Expo 2016

The Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) is currently one of the hottest topics of discussion in the food industry and has generated new rules and regulations. Learn more about FSMA and how to comply with regulations at Food Processing Expo 2016 in Sacramento, Calif., Feb. 17-18. An FSMA Workshop (sponsored by Alchemy) will be held at the Expo on Feb. 18. The workshop will include an overview of FSMA rules, verification and validation of preventative controls, how to best engage employees in enforcement of food safety systems and the inspector to investigator conversion.
FSMA will also be discussed at the Expo at the Northern California Institute of Food Technologists (NCIF) annual luncheon, Feb.17. The featured speaker will be Renuka Menon, director of food safety & quality for Del Monte Foods. She will discuss the need for FSMA, implementation dates, new terminology and Food Safety Plan and Preventive controls required under the regulation.
