CLFP is scheduling a second meeting to continue discussion on how best to adopt a product-based benchmark for tomato processors that will be participating in the California Air Resources Board’s (CARB) greenhouse gas (GHG) cap-and-trade program. The purpose of the meeting is to continue to develop methods for collecting, analyzing and reporting data to CARB regarding GHG emissions per unit of production.
The meeting is tentatively scheduled for Wednesday, May 30, 2012 (time and place TBD).
Currently, the meeting is open to all processors subject to compliance obligations.
