Los Banos Tomato Festival – Celebrating Everything Tomatoes
"The Tomato Capital of the World"- Los Banos processes over 4.5 million tons of tomatoes a year
LOS BANOS, CA -- a select group of the nation’s most premier food and tomato processors will play host to visitors at a world-class tomato celebration. Two exciting and fun-filled days for your entire family to celebrate the tomato and everything you can do with this amazing fruit. The third Annual Los Banos Tomato Festival will take place on October 5 and 6; Saturday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Los Banos Fairgrounds.
The Los Banos Tomato Festival is an opportunity to taste a variety of fresh Heirloom tomatoes paired with a variety of premier foods, wines, beers, margaritas and artisan creations. Professional chefs will showcase the finest local ingredients while giving hands-on cooking instructions. Festival-goers will be able to taste and create, while enjoying live music, local arts, crafts and vendors.
Saturday night the band BOSTYX, featuring David Victor from the band Boston, will be performing. BOSTYX pays tribute to the music and vibe of two American pop music icons BOSTON and STYX with a high-energy show that is sure to please rock ‘n roll lovers. Sunday afternoon we will feature Latin music on the big stage. Many Latin bands will be performing to wow the festival-goers as they enjoy fine foods, drinks and fun-in-the-sun.
Tickets are $6 for Adults, $5 for Seniors/Active Military, $2 for Children (6-12), and Children under five are FREE. Admission and concert tickets are available online or at the Chamber office.
