Chapman to Conduct Better Process Control School, August 8-11
Under the Good Manufacturing Practice regulations for thermally-processed low-acid foods, can closure and processing departments of food industries must be operated under the supervision of a person who has successfully completed a course in the principles of thermal processing and container evaluation, taught by an institution approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). To assist food industries in complying with the FDA/U.S. Department of Agriculture regulations, a two-day acidified and four-day low acid Better Process Control School is being offered by the Food Science Program at Chapman University in Orange, Calif., from August 8-11 in conjunction with the FDA and the Grocery Manufacturers Association.
