Two CLFP committees held their fall board meetings in Stockton in November at The Reserve at Spanos Park. The Agricultural Production Committee met Nov. 3 and the Energy Resources Committee met Nov. 10. Both meetings featured multiple speakers covering a wide variety of topics.
The Ag Production Committee meeting speaker topics included pest management, soil testing, farm management tools and a discussion about how the Food Safety Modernization Act affects farms supplying processors.
The Energy Resources Committee meeting also included meetings of several subcommittees – Air Quality, Solid Waste and Water Resources. Discussion topics included addressing rising carbon costs and related issues, sustainability strategies, the Water Conservation Executive Order, the State Water Board’s Unimpaired Flows Action and storm water issues.
All CLFP members are eligible to serve on any of its committees.
