California Legislature to Reconvene January 3
The California legislative session is scheduled to reconvene on January 3, which will mark the second year of a two-year session. During this second year, bills that were introduced in 2017 must be moved out of their houses of origin by the end of January. CLFP will be engaged on several legislative issues that will be subject to this January deadline including: health warnings for sugared sweetened beverages and synthetic food dyes, predictable employee scheduling mandate, beverage container recycling mandates, regulatory reform, vocational education and water conservation.
