CLFP saw an increase in both exhibitors and attendees at Food Processing Expo 2018, held February 21-22 at the Sacramento Convention Center.
The day prior to the Expo, the biennial Tomato Processing School was held, providing those in California’s tomato processing industry with a detailed and comprehensive day-long program led by some of the state’s most knowledgeable tomato experts.
MSNBC Political Analyst Steve Schmidt kicked off the Expo with an energetic presentation about the current and changing political landscape in Washington, D.C., providing it with some historical prospective.
During the two-day Expo, attendees visited the expansive trade show floor and attended educational seminars. CLFP’s three new lounges, named after well-known Sacramento locations, were well utilized both for their activities and as a place to network and relax. The Midtown Lounge featured CLFP’s annual Veggie, Fruit & Nut Putting contest, while the King’s Lounge hosted a new activity – a Hoop Shooting Contest – to raise money for CLFP’s scholarship program.
The Expo was capped of by CLFP’s lively Silent Auction, its prime scholarship raising event.
