The California League of Food Processors has a new name – the California League of Food Producers (CLFP). With the new name comes a new logo and a new website.
Food Processing Expo 2018 booth sales are now open to the public. The Expo will be held February 21-22 at the Sacramento Convention Center and is the largest event of its kind in California. A record 2,500 food processors and industry suppliers participated in Food Processing Expo 2017.
The California Department of Public Health (CDPH) will host a series of free workshops for food processing companies in August and September. Topics include Good Manufacturing Practices, Food Labeling, Allergen Control and Food Recalls
Late last month Governor Jerry Brown signed Assembly Bill (AB) 102, which has resulted in a significant change in the system for administering California taxes and a major reduction in the responsibilities of the California State Board of Equalization (BOE).
Bills and issues related to water and labor were among the topics CLFP members discussed with legislators during CLFP's Ninth Annual Capitol Day June 20 in Sacramento.
