CLFP will hold a Proposition 65 Workshop on July 11 in Sacramento. The workshop will include an introduction to Proposition 65 legal requirements and regulations and the potential litigation exposure for companies selling food and beverage products in California. Discussion and presentations also will include how Proposition 65 is enforced and how it impacts the food and retail sectors in California.

The application portal for the Voluntary Qualified Importer Program (VQIP) opened in January, however Food and Drug Administration (FDA) does not anticipate that any importers will be able to apply during this application cycle while certification bodies (also known as third-party auditors) receive their accreditation under the Accredited Third Party Certification Program.
