Golf Tournament Registration Deadline October 12

Enjoy a day of camaraderie and fun, while raising funds for CLFP’s Scholarship Program at CLFP’s Annual Supplier Host Council Golf Tournament to be held on Friday, October 26, at the Reserve at Spanos Park in Stockton. CLFP Launches Online Member Portal System

CLFP recently launched its online Member Portal system, which allows members to complete a wide variety of tasks, including updating member information, paying dues, registering for meetings and more! The site may be accessed from CLFP's website by clicking on Member Login from the homepage.

Registration Now Open for Food Processing Expo 2019

Registration for both exhibitors and attendees is now open for Food Processing Expo 2019, which will be held February 12-13 at the Sacramento Convention Center. The Expo, the largest event of its kind in California, is produced by CLFP and offers something for everyone in California’s food processing industry.The Expo keynote speaker is Keith Knopf, Raley's president and cheif executive officer.

Registration is ongoing for CLFP’s Fall Board of Directors Meeting to be held Thursday, October 25, at the Hilton in Stockton. The meeting will feature a new one-day format and also will be held for the first time the day before CLFP’s Annual Supplier Host Council Golf Tournament. The meeting is open to all CLFP board of directors members.

FDA Removes Seven Synthetic Flavorings

The FDA is amending its food additive regulations in response to two food additive petitions, to no longer allow for the use of a total of seven synthetic flavoring substances and flavor enhancers (adjuvants). The FDA determined that the data presented in one of the petitions submitted by a number of consumer groups show that six of these materials caused cancer in laboratory animals under the conditions of the studies. The seventh synthetic flavor is being de-listed because it is no longer used by industry.
