This workshop will introduce attendees to the basic concepts of manual foot therapy (MFT). It will include common foot and ankle conditions helped by MFT; foot evaluation; massage; and mobilization techniques. Some of the techniques will be demonstrated and practiced.
The MFT techniques demonstrated are predominantly based on the mobilization and manipulation techniques of the Hiss-Tikker osteopathic method.
Bio:
Peter has been in practice for 38 years. He is a graduate of the University of Toronto and the Michener Chiropody program. He currently practices in Whitby and Peterborough, ON.
Peter supervises second- and third-year students at the Michener Chiropody clinic in Toronto.
Over the years past 30 years, he has developed his osteopathic manual foot therapy skills by combining the techniques taught by Rue Tikker, Howard Danenberg and Ted Jedynak.
Peter has been teaching manual foot therapy workshops since 2015.
