Stephanie graduated from the Michener Institute for Applied Health Sciences Chiropody program in 1995 and after working in the Chiropody department at Laurentian Hospital, she opened her private practice in Burlington ON in 1997 where she currently practices. As President, Stephanie will play a pivotal role in guiding the CFPM's efforts to represent and advance the practice of podiatry and chiropody across Canada.
The role of the CFPM President is integral to the organization's mission, which provides national representation, recognition, and advocacy for podiatry in Canada. Under Stephanie’s leadership, the CFPM will continue to work toward ensuring that podiatric professionals receive the support and visibility they deserve in the healthcare landscape.
Thank you to our past President, Jenny Sinclair, for her dedication and hard work throughout her term. She skillfully led the board through a highly successful and enjoyable Summer Seminar event, as well as an amazing Annual Conference where the CFPM celebrated its 25th anniversary.
Stephanie will lead a strategic plan set to launch in January 2025, aimed at further solidifying the representation of Canadian Chiropodists/Podiatrists. This initiative will focus on enhancing collaboration and continuing the evolution of podiatric medicine in Canada.
In addition to her leadership at CFPM, Stephanie will attend the prestigious Royal College of Podiatry conference in the UK alongside past president Jenny. This conference is a valuable opportunity for global networking and knowledge exchange, which will help guide CFPM’s future initiatives.
We look forward to the impactful work that lies ahead under Stephanie’s leadership and are excited about the future of podiatric medicine in Canada!
