Position Summary:
Under the direction of the Chair, the Chiropodist is responsible for providing clinical teaching of students while overseeing patient care.
The clinician must meet relevant professional standards at local, provincial and national levels.
Major Elements of the Position:
Providing quality podiatric assessment, treatment and care to individuals referred or self-referred to the clinical site
Facilitate a positive learning environment for both the clients and students at the clinic
Provide feedback on student progress and achievement, while providing student advisement and remedial assistance
Position Qualifications:
A relevant professional diploma
Previous teaching experience with knowledge in evaluative techniques (preferred)
Current registration in good standing with the COCOO a must
Membership with OSC and CFPM preferred
Current CPR and basic first aid
Current VSC
All immunizations up to date
Strong organizational and leadership skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
An ability to work independently and as part of a team
Vaccines (COVID-19) are a requirement of the job unless you have an exemption on a medical ground pursuant to the Ontario Human Rights Code

Position Summary:
Development of course curriculum and evaluations to assesses competency
Provides academic guidance to fellow for research activities and clinical course attainment

Position Qualifications:
Completed Masters level education
Registered member in good standing with the College of Chiropodists of Ontario
Minimum of one year teaching experience in an academic setting or equivalence
Excellent coaching and mentoring skills
Demonstrated clinical experience and currency in foot and wound care management
Exhibits strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
Health Clearances current including Vulnerable Persons Check and immunizations
Current membership OSC, or CFPM preferred
Satisfactory Canadian Police Clearance document required upon hire
Fluency with Microsoft Office applications
Ability to utilize information technology
Commitment to collaborative practice, effectively functioning within an Interprofessional team
