Tettlebach and coworkers have more compelling data supporting debridement in a recent study. The team set out to evaluate debridement’s impact when using placental-derived allografts for diabetic foot ulcers (DFUs) and looked at data from 2 prospective, multicenter, randomized controlled trials. The authors found that quality of debridement and frequency of debridement matters.

Hallux valgus (HV) surgery is an orthopaedic procedure that commonly causes mild to moderate postoperative pain. Effective management of this pain has become an important element of modern hallux valgus surgical treatment. A local anaesthetic (LA) with an antinociceptive effect can control this pain. However, relatively few papers have evaluated this strategy in depth.

Eating disorders (EDs) are characterized by an overconcern about body weight and shape. Men who practice team sports have been systematically excluded from the high-risk eating disorders groups. This exclusion could be challenged based on misinformation about the prevalence of actual eating disorders within these athletes, with the previous evidence showing significant body image concerns among them and the under-diagnosis risk in populations of men.

Rural Nova Scotia offers a lifestyle many look for after practicing for a number of years. HealthWalks is a family run business of 22 years located in rural NS with two locations. We believe in doing serious things in fun ways, looking to fill this position with someone who wants to work Monday to Friday 9-5 with people they want to feel are part of their family.
The caseload includes a broad range of biomechanics as well as orthotic therapy and traditional skin and nail care. We do not see many people requiring heavy diabetic care.
