Member Spotlight The Spotlight Award honors committee members who have really been an all-star on their committee. December Spotlight Award Winner – Eneyda Rodriguez (Marketing and Communications Committee) How did you become involved in MPI? I wanted to join a hospitality-focused organization to connect with like-minded professionals and grow in my career. MPI-CAC aligned with my goals, and I quickly realized the value being a member of MPI-CAC would produce. What has been the most exciting moment or memorable thing that has happened since joining MPI? Awards Night 2019 was a memorable event as I was one of the nominees for Tomorrow's Leader award. Although I did not win, I appreciated the recognition, celebrated with my peers and have grown as an individual because of my purposeful involvement with the chapter. You will definitely get back what you give! Tell us something unique about you. In my past career, I have met many celebrities with my favorite being Tina Turner — she is more beautiful in person! Board Spotlight A new series showcasing some tidbits about your MPI-CAC board members. Want to get to know your board of directors a little better? Meet Director of Sponsorship Allison Hines (NHS Global Events)! 1. How long have you been with MPI-CAC? I have been a member of MPI-CAC for three years. 2. What committees, if any, were you on before joining the board? I was on the Golf Committee and Trivia Night Committee before joining the board. I was the co-chair of Trivia Night when it was at Navy Pier! 3. What is your role on the board? I am the director of sponsorship on the board. I oversee the Partner Development Committee (PDC) and work alongside our association management company to secure cash sponsorships for the chapter. 4. What is one goal for MPI-CAC you have in your position this year? While I am in the role of director of sponsorship, I have the goal of revamping our sponsorship packages and creating packages that benefit our wonderful partners. I want to do this by connecting with our partners to see what is important to them and their organizations now and in the future. 5. What do you like to do when you’re not working? When I am not working, I enjoy walks along the Chicago lakefront, practicing yoga and Netflix binges! Want to hang out more with Allison? You can join the Partner Development Committee or any of the other committees to get more involved! Check them out here. |
