2016 CIOMA Memorial Scholarship Recipients

The CIOMA Memorial Scholarship Committee, CIOMA Board of Directors, and staff would like to extend congratulations to all CIOMA Memorial Scholarship Fund scholarship award winners! We would also like to say thank you to all of our members for making this program possible.

 

Every year, the CMSF provides scholarship awards to deserving students attending college or vocational programs at any accredited postsecondary institution.  It is publically supported by generous contributions from CIOMA members, their communities, and those who share an interest or affiliation with the fuel distributor and convenience store industries.

Eligible applicants must be:

• A CIOMA member, CIOMA staff, or a dependent of a CIOMA member or CIOMA staff.  The CIOMA member must be in good standing for a minimum of one year as of the application deadline.  The Applicant (or applicant's parent) must be employed by a CIOMA member of CIOMA for a minimum of one year as of the application deadline. 
• High school seniors or graduates and college undergraduate who are enrolled or will be enrolled in a full-time undergraduate course of study at an accredited public or private two or four-year college, university or vocational/technical school.

Scholarship recipients are selected after thorough review of academic accomplishments, outside activities showing leadership and community involvement, the applicant's statement of educational and career goals, the evaluation by a teacher, counselor or supervisor, and economic need.  Scholarship recipients will be notified of their award in June.

Contributions to the fund are gratefully accepted throughout the year.  If you would like to donate to the Scholarship Fund in someone’s memory or make a donation for any reason, please contact the CIOMA office. All contributions are eligible as a charitable tax deduction depending on the donor’s IRS status.
