The pandemic has not completely blocked members of the Chicago Chapter of CMSA from staying connected!  Nearly 90 members joined in a virtual meeting on January 18th, “Each One, Teach One 2021” for a CE opportunity related to issues within Pediatrics. The Chicago chapter has enjoyed support and collaboration efforts from the Greater Grand Rapids Kalamazoo, Detroit, Southern Ohio Valley, New York and Charlotte chapters to host virtual meetings and educational events. Ethel Walton, RN, Case Manager at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, has been elected the new President of the Chicago Chapter of the Black Nurses Association. Congratulations!

Congratulations to Sandra Stricker at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois and Wendy Jaffe at the University of Illinois at Chicago on their retirement. Both colleagues have contributed immensely during their careers. CMSA wishes them the very best in their retirement!
