New CMSA Certification Series Starts with April 24 Webinar
For the first time, CMSA is offering a series to assist the case manager in moving toward certification. This set of webinars and live concurrent sessions at CMSA's 24th Annual Conference & Expo focuses on information that is integral to both the case management process and closely associated knowledge domains, such as legal/regulatory issues, acute/managed care concepts, and psychosocial aspects.
The April 24th webinar, hosted by CMSA President Nancy Skinner and CMSA Executive Director Cheri Lattimer, covers general information regarding certification and the value that recognition of your professional expertise provides. Additionally, this 90-minute program presents an overview of the CMSA Standards of Practice that serve as the foundation of that practice. Register at: http://ow.ly/vTocW.
No additional cost is associated with the webinars or live sessions; however, conference registration is required to attend the concurrent track at the annual conference.

In 2013, two of the Case Management Foundation's corporate partners came together to offer a spectacular vacation giveaway. CMSA hosted CMF at their annual conference, at which CMF raffled off an all-inclusive trip to Hawaii donated by Angel MedFlight.
Both CMSA and Angel MedFlight are making the same contributions to the Foundation in 2014! If you are attending this year’s CMSA Annual Conference in Cleveland, Ohio, make sure to stop by the CMF Booth and enter this year’s vacation raffle!
Enter to find out! The first 20 guesses to this year's trip location will win a free entry into the raffle (must be present at CMSA Annual Conference, CMF raffle to win). Simply send an email to support@supportcmf.org with your best guess by April 24, 2014, and your name will be entered into the drawing! Also, the first correct guess received will receive a $25 Starbucks gift card by mail!

Immediate and ongoing analysis of data is an essential aspect of any organization today. In the past, organizations relied upon weekly or monthly reports to show how well the business or programs were doing. Decisions were then made, based on that information. Today, with the increased use of health information technology (HIT), we don’t have to wait that long to make decisions or change direction. We have a wealth of real-time data available and the ability to analyze it quickly to make immediate decisions or program changes.
