READY FOR FALL LEARNING? CMSA IS OFFERING TWO CAN’T-MISS EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES

CMSA Boot Camp

Are you a case manager with less than five years of experience?

Or are you looking to change your area of practice?

Or maybe you are committed to advancing your professional growth?

We have THE training program for you! CMSA Boot Camp – November 4-5, 2022, in Brentwood, TN (Nashville area).

With interactive and engaging learning with real-life scenarios and practical application, the CMSA Boot Camp program is a new offering built to fill the gap presented by the usual on-the-job learning tactic. Case management is a growing healthcare profession, with a presence in every health delivery setting, and professionals moving into and throughout the profession often do not have access to adequate orientation and training. This hands-on, in-person course will prepare you for new challenges!

CMSA Integrated Case Management Training Program

ICM Fall Training is here – November 15-17, 2022, virtual delivery.

CMSA's ICM program provides multiple strategies to engage clients, stratify risk, and develop care plans to mitigate risk and help clients achieve improved health and well-being. Our training includes review of "CMSA's Integrated Case Management Manual: For Case Managers by Case Managers," online learning sessions, self-study activities to prepare for Face to Face Training, and interactive practical application in a classroom setting.

Don’t delay – take advantage of a special Case Manager Appreciation rate for this fall class.

A scholarship opportunity is available through the CMSA Foundation. Applications are due by September 30. Visit www.cmsafoundation.org/icm for more information.

"Technological Applications in Case Management Practice"

1 Hr RN and CCM CEs

With the rise of digital health and the impact of the COVID pandemic, these and other forces have changed nearly every phase of healthcare in recent years. How case managers interface with their patients and the tools they use to do so is one prime example of the changing landscape. This is the first of several webinars to examine how technology continues to impact case management practice. In this first installment of the 2022 HIT Webinar Series, we will examine the changes in case management functions, caseloads, patient engagement, transitions of care and readmissions, and compare 2022 to 2012. Open to members and non-members.

CMSA National, via a grant from Ferring Pharmaceuticals, is offering a FREE webinar opportunity to CMSA Chapters.

"Clostridioides difficile: Reducing Mortality and Morbidity with Effective Care Coordination and Transitions"

The most common cause of diarrhea occurring in a healthcare setting is Clostridioides difficile (C. diff), and it is also the cause of antibiotic-associated colitis. An estimated 500,000 cases occur during hospitalization, costing $6.3 million. Thirty percent of those with an initial infection will have a recurrence, and 40% will have a third recurrence.

Case managers are the professionals prepared to address prevention, transitions, care coordination, social determinants and inequities. When equipped with the latest evidence and best practices, case managers can assimilate knowledge and skills to the patient, support system and care delivery system resulting in improved health outcomes and quality of life.
