Candidate Nominations for the 2013 CMSA Board of Directors Are Now Being Accepted!

Are you one who is not afraid to "step up to the plate" and make things happen? If so, then you may want to seriously consider running for a position on CMSA’s National Board of Directors!
The work that our Board of Directors does is critical to the long term growth and success of CMSA. The Board provides ongoing strategic direction and oversight to ensure that CMSA is well-positioned to carry out its mission "to promote the individual and collective professional development of health care case managers."
Serving on the CMSA Board can provide one the most rewarding and satisfying experiences of your professional career. As a Board member you will join a team of visionary leaders and dedicated professionals who are setting the pace with case management practice and health policy in today's health care environment. Serving on the Board also provides an opportunity to further develop your professional skills and network with case management thought leaders from across the industry.
For the 2013 election year, there are five open positions on the Board of Directors:
- President-Elect
- Secretary
- (3) Directors

CMSA’s Nominations Committee looks for candidates who are recognized leaders with demonstrated expertise and experience. This can include leadership experience and involvement with CMSA (national or local chapters) or other health-related professional associations, as well as professional development activities such as professional certification, educational presentations, or publishing and writing.
The Nominations Committee also looks for candidates who will help ensure that the Board is representative of CMSA’s multidisciplinary membership from diverse settings. For this reason, the Committee is especially interested in receiving nominations from social workers and from those working in the acute care setting.
