SPCB EXAM WORKSHOPS — APPLICATORS WANTED

The Structural Pest Control Board needs help from applicators performing branch 2 & 3 tasks. They need licensees with experience and knowledge to help create additional questions for the new computer based exam. Attendees will receive:

Continuing education, $125 per day, reimbursement for hotels, meals, mileage, tolls and parking, as well as airfare and car rental if you live in Southern California.

The workshops will be held in Sacramento April 8 & 9, 2015 and April 29 & 30, 2015. For additional information including contact info, please see attached FLYER.

SPCB EXAM PASSING RATES IMPROVED

The new passing rates for the Structural Pest Control Board exams have been released this month and show a vast improvement. Since the inception of each exam, the board has been monitoring each question from each exam to see the passing percentages. If a question scores quite low, they examine the question to ascertain the problem. The question is then either changed or removed. So over time the exams are supposed to improve.

The new passing rates are as follows:

Field Rep Branch 1 — 50%

Field Rep Branch 2 — 47%

Field Rep Branch 3 — 63%

Operator Branch 1 — 33%

Operator Branch 2 — 73%

Operator Branch 3 — 67%

Applicator — 57%
