PCOC Legislative Days are soon approaching on April 4 and 5 in Sacramento, and I look forward to seeing you all there. One of the most important functions of PCOC is representing your interests related to legislative and regulatory impacts to our industry. At the time I’m writing this article, we are still awaiting word of potential legislation related to rodenticides. We are also closely monitoring regulatory concerns regarding product use and surface water as well as fumigation. As Mike Bullert and I have been meeting with Districts around the State, we’re reminding folks that your engagement is critical to letting our elected representatives know how you feel about these topics and more. Many of you have probably heard the phase “the early bird gets the worm”; well, the earlier we connect what we do to protecting people, property and our food supply, the more our message resonates. Remember, you can tell your story better than anybody, so see you in Sacramento.
