Thank a Vendor

Vendors are an integral part of the PCOC family. Without their participation and generosity many events, such as raffles, speakers, hole sponsorships, and fund raisers would be greatly impacted. 

Vendors come in all sizes, too. You’re probably familiar with the large chemical companies without whom our industry would be markedly different. And what would the industry be like without the value brought by distributors. But don’t forget about the smaller providers that constitute an important part of our membership.  Some are small manufacturers with targeted product lines — such as traps, lights, mattress covers, exempt sprayables, repellents, and tools, to name a few. Some don’t specialize in pest management. They provide uniforms, fuel, credit card processing, and goods and services not usually thought of as one of our industry suppliers.

Vendors provide membership numbers and much needed financial support for PCOC. Generally, all they ask is that you give them a look. If you have a choice between two providers and one is a PCOC member, if at all possible, use the member. Keeping it in the family is a strategy for the health of our industry and our association. So, the next time you see a vendor you don’t know, introduce yourself. See if they have a product that makes sense in your operation. And if you feel so moved, thank a vendor for their support.
