We are thrilled to announce a monumental transformation within our association. At the General Membership Meeting on June 20, 2024, our members unanimously voted to rebrand from the Pest Control Operators of California (PCOC) to the California Pest Management Association (CAPMA). This change marks the beginning of an exciting chapter for our organization.

The decision to evolve into CAPMA was not made lightly. Over many months, our dedicated team, led by Lauren Thrasher (Bylaws Committee Chair) and Molly Alcorn (Association Bylaws Specialist with Alcorn Law), worked tirelessly to develop a vision for a more inclusive, forward-thinking association. This rebranding aligns with our mission to embrace a broader spectrum of pest management professionals and to better represent our industry.

With the new name comes a refreshed set of bylaws, designed to streamline our operations and prepare us for future challenges. One of the significant changes includes a reduction in the size of our Board of Directors, ensuring a more agile and effective governance structure.
