EC-Creamery is an Eau Claire, Wisconsin-based dairy processor selling yogurt products throughout the Midwest region of the U.S. In this case analysis, students will be in a position to understand the challenges of forecasting and demand planning and how to address them via sales and operations planning, deal with incomplete data to develop forecasts, implement appropriate forecasting techniques and make relevant recommendations to senior management based on their findings. This case study involves a regional hardware store interested in expanding sales and increasing profits by exploring multichannel opportunities to prepare for developing an omnichannel strategy. The objective is to encourage the future supply chain management professional to explore the concept of multichannel/omnichannel through quantitatively analyzing different scenarios and considering how the findings can be used to guide improvements. CSCMP will again be offering the SCPro™ Bridge Exam at EDGE 2020! The SCPro™ Bridge Exam was created for professionals that already hold a previously earned credential or advanced degree similar to SCPro™.
Enroll today in CSCMP's 2020 Mentorship Program. Take part in this valuable member benefit by enrolling now through February 24, 2020. Upon enrollment participants will create online profiles, mentees/mentors will partner, and mentorship will commence in April.
To qualify for the mentorship program, you must be an active CSCMP member. Mentoring partnerships will run through December 2020. Not a CSCMP member? No problem, join today! The overall LMI index is 54.0, down (-0.4) from the November 2019 reading. This is the lowest reading for the overall index in the three-year history of the LMI, down significantly (-13.0) from this time last year, when it read in at 67.0. There have been low scores for the LMI since the Summer, with the lowest nine scores in the history of the index coming in the last nine months. Although it's down, the logistics industry is still growing.
Respondents predict over the next year, the LMI will be at 63.3 up slightly (+1.2) from November’s future prediction of 62.1.
