And why not? When you think about it, it is a discipline that is no longer a cost to be managed, yet supply chain professionals provide daily execution, and strategy to make their companies more competitive. Our academic partners tell us their supply chain majors are growing, yet we still have to get our discipline as a destination career into lower levels of our educational system. That is a passion for me as well as our terrific association, CSCMP. If you have children wondering what they would like to do as they approach college years, send them over to us, we need them! Not only is compensation on the rise, but many of our senior supply chain professionals are becoming general managers and CEO’s, as they see so much in modern-day global companies and have terrific interpersonal skills. That’s inherent in successful supply chain professionals today. CSCMP is your professional association. We exist to further the discipline and the careers of everyone in it. We take that seriously. How do we sustain ourselves? Membership dues are critical. It’s less than $1 per day and yet, you have the connections that you need around the world. Daily, we receive phone calls and emails asking to be connected. It’s what we do, and we will do it for you throughout your career. Thank you for being a member, please give us a call, and we will talk through a strategy to ensure you get the most out of CSCMP, and importantly, out of your career.
