CSCMP's excited to share the news about the future of NASSTRAC. For nearly 70 years, NASSTRAC has provided shippers with education and advocacy opportunities. In 2018, NASSTRAC merged with the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP) in order to better serve shippers across the United States. We've seen unprecedented strain on the transportation industry over the last two years, and now it's more important than ever that shippers and carriers band together for the greater good. With the changes that have taken place in the global markets, we see many shippers expanding in markets that extend past the U.S. borders. In short, the transportation industry is changing. Therefore, now is the time for NASSTRAC to evolve and meet the challenges of the future by fully integrating into CSCMP's membership. NASSTRAC is being reimagined as the CSCMP Transportation Center of Excellence:
This is a small sample of the changes that are to come. More information will be communicated later this autumn. In the meantime, please visit CSCMP's Transportation Center of Excellence web page for details on committee members and we'll be updating our page regularly with center-related news and beneficial content like our recent webinar: Women Leaders Discuss Technology Trends in Supply Chain. It's my sincere hope that you're as excited about these changes as my fellow board members, CSCMP staff and countless volunteers are. Creating the CSCMP Transportation Center of Excellence will allow CSCMP to continue serving the needs of our members.

China-Shanghai Roundtable "I joined CSCMP in 2015. My company (The Walt Disney Company) got cooperate membership with CSCMP globally and I was selected as supply chain expert in China being the member of CSCMP. We are encouraged to master supply chain knowledge through participating in the SCPro Certification program, and I got my SCPro Level One Certificate in September of 2021. It’s valuable for being a member at CSCMP. You can get yourself up-to-date about the trend and insight of global supply chain through multiple learning resources online. You can expand your local network through local Roundtable events. You can pursue your supply chain expertise by participating in SCPro certificates which can add great value on your career development in the field of supply chain. I connected with CSCMP Round Table China and became committee member of Round Table China. I’ve been also involved with the CSCMP Certification Committee and hopefully to serve as the voice of CSCMP membership in China." Visit https://youtu.be/q6MlcvdZMU8 to view the full article online.

Arizona Roundtable "I first joined CSCMP in 2019. I did so because I was doing research for a project and realized that I kept seeing people and podcasts that would reference CSCMP. I looked into the organization and met with some local people here in AR. I decided I liked it, and that I wanted to take advantage of the networking, professional and educational opportunities it provides. Jump in with both feet. Watch the seminars. Read the journals. Devour everything you can because in our industry, creative insight is the one thing they can never automate. Creativity is a seed that needs to germinate in the rich soil of knowledge. From a networking perspective, it has been challenging lately, but even still, go to roundtables, find local members, and introduce yourself. I use my membership in CSCMP to reach out to Roundtable leaders in parts of the country where my professional network is weak or where I'd like it to grow. It doesn't always work, but sometimes, it leads to great connects and friends. I've learned a lot and made some great professional opportunities from my connections."
