CELEBRATING 60 YEARS OF TECNICA GROUP

In 1930 Oreste Zanatta founded a small shop focused on working boots production, that, thanks to his son Giancarlo Zanatta's efforts and remarkable growth as a craftman-entrepreneur, officially became in 1960 the Calzaturificio Tecnica SpA.

Over the following ten years, Tecnica expanded its business, producing and innovating ski boots, and creating the first Moon Boot®, that became an icon of the twentieth century, with more than 25 million pairs sold.

In 1985 Tecnica entered the outdoor footwear market, bringing innovative spirit to a new range of products, and soon becoming one of the main players as a Group.

In 2002, the acquisition of another top brand of winter sports equipment, Nordica, born in 1939, made Tecnica Group the first world producer of ski boots.

In 2003, the product range was extended further with the arrival of Rollerblade, the inventor of inline skating, first manufacturer in the world and the sector’s leading brand, which had been able to became a synonym to the whole sport.

The latest arrival in 2006 has been the Austrian brand Blizzard – a historic trademark in the world of skiing – that has strengthened Tecnica Group’s international leadership in the field.

In 2019 the group has acquired Riko Sport, Lowa's main footwear supplier.
