Born and raised in Rossland, BC, it comes as no surprise that Butch found such a passion for skiing. This passion and dedication for the sport enabled him to travel all over the world as the Canadian National Ski Team Coach. Traveling the world and having the opportunity to ski at different resorts, Butch still favored and preferred to ski at his hometown Mountain, Red Mountain. In 1975 Butch returned to his hometown of Rossland to open his own ski shop, which is currently the longest running business in town. It was not long after he moved home that he met his wife Enza, who was also born and raised in Rossland. Together they have built Butch Boutry Ski Shop into the world-renowned ski shop it is today. The family owned business is celebrating an astonishing 49th ski season this year!
