Upcoming ARB Workshops of Note

The Air Resources Board will hold two upcoming workshops of note. First, they will discuss potential regulatory changes to the programs governing smoke opacity limits and future plans to develop a comprehensive inspection and maintenance program for heavy-duty (HD) diesel vehicles with a gross vehicle weight rating over 14,000 pounds for implementation in the post-2020 timeframe.

Second, the ARB will hold a workshop to discuss the State SIP Strategy and proposed control measures to achieve emission reductions from mobile sources, fuels, and consumer products necessary to meet the ozone and fine particulate (PM2.5) attainment deadlines established by the Clean Air Act.
