Meet CTA’s 2016 Northern California Driver of the Year Award Recipient

California Trucking Association is proud to announce driver Jon Emerson of FedEx Freight in Sacramento as the 2016 Northern California Driver of the Year. Mr. Emerson was one of 52 drivers from Northern California to receive Driver of the Month Awards and Honorable Mention Awards at the annual banquet on Saturday, November 12th at the Lions Gate Hotel in the Sacramento. Mr. Emerson was selected from the 52 drivers for this special recognition.
Mr. Emerson has enjoyed a career of over 30 years as a professional truck driver. During his career, Jon has driven over 3 million miles accident and injury free.
Jon has been with FedEx Freight for 22 years. During those 22 years he has received numerous safety awards.
Receiving a clean roadside inspection is a testimony to a commitment to doing thorough pre and post trip inspections of the equipment that a driver is putting on the highway. Jon has received 4 consecutive clean roadside inspections.
Jon is an example to other drivers. He is an exceptional driver, with an impeccable record.
