CARB Forms Workgroups on Truck Warranties, Durability

CARB recently announced that, in addition to the possibility of a new, lower NOx engine standard, it is currently in the process of evaluating existing regulations affecting new and in-use heavy-duty engines and vehicles warranty and durability requirements.
To support this work, CARB staff is forming six stakeholder workgroups on the following subjects:
•Certification Standards and Test Procedures
•Compliance with In-Use Standards for Emission Certification
•Extended Warranties
•Durability/Useful Life
•OBD Workgroup
•CARB Emissions Inventories (EMFAC) Workgroup
