California Road Charge Technical Advisory Committee Meets

Last week the California Road Charge Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) met in Riverside, CA. The TAC heard an update on the progress of the Road Charge Pilot Program that commenced in July of 2016. As you know CTA’s Board approved CTA participating in the pilot. Currently there are 8 trucking companies participating in the pilot which accounts for the 55 trucks included in the pilot. Timeline for the pilot program includes a report produced by the California State Transportation Agency (CalSTA) being sent to the Legislature in June of 2017. The legislature will make its recommendations in December 2017.
