Mike Munoz of PB Loader Corporation and the State-wide Allied Conference Chair presented the Joe Kent Memorial Allied Conference Member Award, Sunday, January 22 at the President’s Brunch during CTA’s Annual Membership Conference.
Mr. Glenn Richardson of California Truck Centers was the recipient of this year’s award. According to Mr. Munoz, Glenn embodies what this award is all about. He has continually supported the Allied Conference’s mission statement of supporting CTA Carrier Members in all their endeavors. He has held various committee chairs on the state level, as well as, leading his unit as a chairperson and coordinating fundraising for his unit’s local charities. His most notable accomplishment is his tireless effort in putting together the incredibly successful charity event, Truckin’ for Hospice Motorcycle Poker Run which just completed its 15th Year and raised over $64,000 for the Hospice of San Joaquin.

The award is in honor of the memory of Joe Kent. Joe was a Vice President of CTA from 2004-2014. He was an ordinary person who accomplished extraordinary things for our association through selfless acts of service.
The award celebrates allied members in action, who like Joe, have given generously of themselves for the greater good of our organization over the years.
The recipient is honored at the President’s Brunch each year and receives a $1,000.00 donation given by the Allied Member Conference. This donation is to be awarded to the CTA activity of the recipient’s choice. The recipient’s name inscribed on a commemorative plaque that is permanently and proudly displayed at CTA headquarters in Sacramento.
