Impacted by I-80 Closures- Please Read

Attention Affected CTA Member:
If you transport goods on the I-80 corridor, specifically operating EB and WB IE: Colfax/Nevada border please read the following information
A few CTA members recently brought to our attention issues associated with the many days that I-80 (specifically EB and WB IE: Colfax/Reno) was closed due to inclement weather conditions. The closures affected their ability to transport goods to their customers in a timely manner. In some cases customers were assessing "delay" charges to the trucking companies.
CTA worked with Caltrans on providing information on days I-80 was closed or trucks were being held. Feel free to utilize this information in conversations with your customers.
Click here to view a letter from Caltrans that acknowledges that there were a significant number of days that the corridor was closed due to the winter storm and click here for a spreadsheet that shows all of the days during the month of January that the corridor was closed to trucks.
