CTA’s very first Leadership Academy was a great success! With the recommendation of their supervisors, twenty-five future leaders were registered to attend the event which took place last week at the Burnham Benefits office in Orange County. We were honored to have had an excellent group of individuals who were engaged, involved and eager to learn to be the best and take back to their companies the skills newly acquired. Our trainer, Steven Swafford with Leadership Outfitters Inc. put together a program filled with individual and group activities to help bring out the strengths and weaknesses of the attendees. They learned to work with one another, despite their different behavior and communication styles. In the end, relationships were established and the attendees left ready to begin implementing all they learned in their own companies.
This program was created to provide the next generation of leaders with the skills to become the most effective leader possible, to prepare them to serve their companies, communities, the industry and the association in a more effective manner. If you would like to reserve your spot for next year’s Leadership Academy, contact Lupita Flores at lflores@caltrux.org.
