CTA Well Represented On Statewide Truck Parking Technical Advisory Committee

Earlier this week Caltrans hosted the kickoff meeting for its California Truck Parking Technical Advisory Committee (TAC). Included on the TAC is Caltrans, CHP, CTA and quite a few CTA members. The kickoff meeting included a presentation by the American Transportation Research Institute (ATRI) on truck parking studies they have conducted, input from the industry on the truck parking issues they face and what the goals are for the TAC. These include, short term/long term successes and looking at possible changes to current policy and law. A brief summary of the this project will be provided at the upcoming Highway Policy Committee during the Annual Membership Conference.
