This week, CTA submitted comments to the Federal Maritime Commission (FMC) on behalf of its Intermodal Conference members regarding the requested changes to the current discussion agreement governing the operation of the Pier Pass "off-peak" gate program at the Ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach ("Pier Pass"). While CTA’s Intermodal Conference is generally supportive of the proposed changes CTA feels that addressing other issues (identified in the letter) would further the goals of both the terminal operators and the drayage community in successfully implementing an off-peak program that is sustainable. The comments were submitted jointly along with the Harbor Trucking Association. To view a copy of the letter, click here.
