CTA IN ACTION: CTA Submits Comments to CARB on Changes to Smoke Testing Program

Last week, CTA submitted comments to CARB opposing a proposal which will require fleet operators to report smoke opacity results on an annual basis. Because of CARB’s demonstrated track record of poor enforcement, it is likely that these requirements will unfairly place new costs on already overburdened compliant truck fleets.
