CARB Releases List of AB617 Communities

The identified communities are: 1)Richmond 2)West Oakland 3)Calexico/El Centro/Heber 3)Imperial County 4)South Sacramento/Florin 5)Barrio Logan/West National City/Logan Heights/Sherman Heights 6)Shafter 7)South Central Fresno 8)Boyle Heights/East Los Angeles 9)Muscoy/San Bernardino 10)Wilmington/West Long Beach/Carson. This list and a "blueprint" for local air districts to follow in their preparation of community emission reduction plans will go before the Board on Sept. 27th. Air Districts will then have a year to prepare the plans.
CTA will continue to update its membership on this new air quality planning process.
