City of Folsom Lowers Transportation Permit Fee

The City of Folsom recently notified CTA that it would be reducing its Single Trip Transportation Permit Fee. This was in response to CTA sending the Mayor of Folsom a letter informing them that they are not allowed to charge more than the state mandated fee of $16.00. Over the past couple of years, CTA has been made aware of local municipalities over charging for transportation permits that carriers are required to obtain prior to transporting an extra legal load through their jurisdiction. Once CTA is made aware, we send a certified letter to the city or county to remind them of the law and ask them to lower their fee and be in accordance with California law.
