Sunwest Bank - Serving the Trucking Industry

While many banks spend time talking about their branches, at Sunwest Bank, we are more committed to our roots.

Our bank was founded in an effort to serve our local community over 45 years ago, in Tustin, California.  We believe our desire to serve as a local bank, by adding value and fueling growth within the communities, neighborhoods and businesses we serve, is the reason we have been successful.

In the last few years, we have expanded from Southern California into the metropolitan business areas of Arizona, Idaho, Washington, and Utah.  We’ve done this by remaining true to our roots as a neighborhood bank and serving the community - wherever that community may be located.  We are honored to have been recognized for this commitment with many awards over the years, including being ranked as one of the "Top 200 Community Banks in the United States," by American Banker Magazine in their May 2016 edition1.

How Sunwest Bank Serves the Trucking Industry

One way we serve our community is by offering progressive banking solutions, like the creation of the Transportation and Logistics Specialty Lending Group in 2015.  This group was started and continues to be led by Rick Goodman, an over 8-year veteran of the transportation financing industry.

The trucking industry faces many unique challenges including legislative and environmental regulations on both state and federal levels.  We seek to better understand these challenges to further our knowledge of the industry.  This knowledge helps us customize financial products and banking solutions that help companies meet the specific challenges they face.

Sunwest Bank is a full service financial institution.  We offer many commercial banking products and services such as term loans for rolling stock, revolving lines of credit for working capital, debt restructure and refinance of existing term loans, commercial real estate financing, acquisition financing, SBA financing as a Preferred Lender along with various depository and treasury management products.  We provide these products and services at competitive interest rates and favorable terms to transportation companies.  We would welcome the opportunity to talk with you about any commercial banking needs.  Please go to our website at www.sunwestbank.com/Transportation-and-Logistics for more information.

Building a Strong Relationship with the Trucking Industry

Sunwest Bank became a Preferred Circle Club Partner of the California Trucking Association (CTA) in April of 2015.  We believe that we cannot fully understand and meet the needs of trucking organizations without creating a strong relationship with the CTA, arguably the strongest voice for truckers in California.

Sunwest Bank recently expanded the relationship with the CTA by leveraging existing partnerships with Elan Financial Services and UMS Banking:
Enhancing our Relationship to Better Serve the Trucking Industry

Now Sunwest Bank, through our partnerships with Elan Financial Services and UMS Banking, is making even more exciting strides by offering these same services to CTA members2:

For credit cards issued through Elan Financial Services, CTA members may be entitled to rewards such as airline miles, hotel points or even cash rebates, depending on the type of credit card issued.  To apply use the following link:  www.sunwestbank.com/Business-Loans-Credit-Cards

For merchant bankcard services through UMS Banking, a portion of the revenues generated from the services used will be given back to the CTA as a financial rebate.  To apply use the following link:  http://umsbanking.com/sunwestbank/cta/

Sunwest Bank and its vendors are proud to offer our support to the CTA and hope you will take the same pride in giving back.  Use our cards and services to help support the organization that has been such a strong advocate for truckers and trucking businesses within the state of California.  Together, we can continue to be Trucking Proud!!
