We have received a few questions from intrastate carriers in CA who received a data correction letter from the FMCSA regarding a US DOT Number that they had not created. If you are intrastate carrier, a US DOT number has been created for you by the CHP. This was done, so DOT can now monitor a company’s FMCSA Safer Scores based on inspection reports both from the scales and roadside inspections.
