It is finally here! This Friday is the Kick-off of CTA’s Annual Membership Conference – The Heart of Trucking 2018 where over 200 CTA members will come together for business, education, and to take the wheel in steering  the association toward the road to success in 2018. Our attendees know the value of coming together with like-minded professionals  and staying up-to- date with the latest industry news. In addition to learning from the exchange of shared experiences with peers in an open forum, the conference provides an opportunity to build stronger, more meaningful business relationships as well as lifelong friendships as to which many of our members can attest. Attendees will get a head start on the upcoming year with our All Star line up of speakers.

 

We are fortunate to have American Trucking Associations’ President & CEO, Chris Spear, and ATA Chairman David Manning to open the conference with a state of the industry address sharing insight on the ELD Rule, tax reform and NAFTA.

 

Also on the speaker lineup for the conference is Bob Costello, ATA Chief Economist & Senior Vice President. Bob will present an updated look at the economy and how current economic factors are affecting both the short-term and long-term outlook for the industry.

 

An Election Forecast will be presented by Marty Wilson, Executive Vice President of the California Chamber of Commerce. Marty will discuss the upcoming 2018 election cycle and the impact on the business community.

 

Looking toward 2018 and beyond, professional demographer, John Maketa will provide a forecast in societal, political, economic, cultural and commercial phenomena. John is known to be able to predict change with uncanny accuracy. He will introduce to our attendees the competencies required to succeed in the 21st Century. 

 

This conference is also where the members elect new Officers and Board of Directors for the upcoming year and install the new President for the year.
