Caltrans is temporarily reducing the length of the High Occupancy Vehicle (HOV) lane on westbound Interstate 80 (I-80) in Fairfield.
The HOV lane will now temporarily end at the Abernathy Road on-ramp to WB Interstate 80.
The temporary reduction will accommodate work on the nearby Dan Wilson Creek Bridge in Fairfield from July 8 through October 2019.
Caltrans is performing concrete slab replacement work on the bridge.
The HOV limit reduction will reduce the number of lanes at the Dan Wilson Creek Bridge work zone on I-80 from six to five, and delays are expected. The bridge is located on westbound I-80 near the entrance to the westbound I-80 Cordelia Truck Scales.
Caltrans will also schedule intermittent overnight lane closures for the work and will inform the public in advance as these closures approach.
