Crashes that are determined not preventable through FMCSA’s Crash Preventability Determination Program (CPDP) are now notated in PSP. If there is a crash on a driver’s PSP record that meets the not preventable criteria under CPDP, it may be submitted for review through DataQs. For more information on eligible crash types and how to submit a Request for Data Review (RDR), visit the CPDP.
The California Department of Tax & Fee Administration (CDTFA) released a special notice announcing tax rates for motor vehicle and diesel fuels. The rates are in effect from July 1, 2020, through June 30, 2021. The sales & use tax for diesel fuel is 13% (26 cents per gallon) and 2.25% (5 cents per gallon) for gasoline. The excise tax for diesel fuel is 38.5 cents per gallon and 50.5 cents per gallon for gasoline.
FMCSA announced it has extended the waiver for expiring CDLs, CLPs and medical certificates for interstate drivers. The waiver, which was set to expire June 30, has been extended until September 30. | More
