Last week, the U.S. Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals granted our request to stay the mandate to lift the preliminary injunction on the California's enforcement of AB 5 against motor carriers.
In practical terms, this will keep the preliminary injunction in place until:
1. The US Supreme Court denies our petition for review
2. The US Supreme Court grants our review and a decision is rendered
On June 17, CalOSHA adopted new amendments to their emergency temporary standard regulations for COVID-19 prevention in the workplace. These new changes closely align with the Governor's reopening of the California economy on June 15. We strongly encourage members to join for this important informational session to ensure you are operating your business within compliance of the new COVID-19 regulations.
Please join us on Thursday, July 1 from 1-2pm for an educational session with PCS Consulting to discuss the amendments to the regulations and what you need to know to stay compliant.
The California State Transportation Agency (CalSTA) announced a new temporary special permit that increases the maximum overweight total up to 88,000 pounds for transportation of certain agricultural products.

On June 26, 2021, FMCSA changed the security settings on all FMCSA servers to meet cybersecurity requirements. This may impact certain internet browsers’ ability to connect to FMCSA systems, including the Clearinghouse website.
What do I need to do to continue accessing the Clearinghouse? Make sure your computer or mobile device is running a current version of a modern operating system (e.g., Windows 10, macOS 10.15+). This issue will primarily impact older operating systems.
What can I do if I have trouble accessing the Clearinghouse after June 26, 2021?Users can try one of the following options:
• Upgrade your computer’s operating system. This may require purchasing a new operating system. If you use Windows, make sure you have the most recent version installed. • Upgrade your mobile device’s operating system. See how to update an iPhone or how to update an Android device. • Use a different internet browser (e.g., Edge, Chrome, Firefox, etc.) to access the Clearinghouse.
• Use an alternate computer or mobile device, with an up-to-date operating system, to access the Clearinghouse.
If, after trying the options above, you still are experiencing access issues, contact the Clearinghouse Team for assistance.
