CTA's CEO Eric Sauer kicked off the celebration of by joining the California Highway Patrol and members of CTA's Sacramento Unit with a visit to the Cordelia Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Facility on Monday, September 12, 2022.

For more than two decades Eric has joined the trucking community in thanking drivers for all their work to keep the economy moving.

 

Other events included a special presentation of an Assembly Resolution officially proclaiming Truck Driver Appreciation Week in California authored by Assemblymembers Frank Bigelow (R - O’Neals) and Carlos Villapudua (D – Stockton) at Antonini Freight, Inc. in Stockton. 

The California Air Resources Board (CARB) will host a public advisory meeting to discuss updates to the Carl Moyer Program (program) for heavy-duty vehicles. The program provides funds to operators replacing heavy-duty vehicles with cleaner equipment. During the webinar, CARB will review the proposed changes to the program including increased voucher funding for zero-emission vehicles in response to the state’s goal to electrify fleets. We highly encourage members to participate in the Zoom webinar. You can view the changes by click on the infrastructure and voucher incentive guidelines hyperlinks.

The California Trucking Association and California Air Resources Board (CARB) hosted a joint webinar to discuss and review the proposed Advanced Clean Fleets regulation. The ACF regulation will require fleets to replace their diesel trucks with zero-emission alternatives.
