Join the California Air Resources Board (CARB) and the California Trucking Association for a joint webinar to discuss the Heavy-Duty Inspection and Maintenance (HD I/M) Program this Thursday, November 17 from 1:30 – 3:00 PM via Zoom. 
 
The HD I/M program commonly referred to as the Heavy-Duty Smog Check program will require fleet operators to regularly test a truck's emission control system twice a year. Initial fleet reporting is set to begin as early as July 2023 and testing frequency will increase to four times a year in 2026 or 2027. 
 
The CARB team will review the HD I/M regulation and will take questions and answers throughout the webinar.
 
This webinar is free to members. 

The latest report from the California Secretary of State’s Office estimates more than 3.8 million ballots remain to be processed. By state law county elections officials must report their final results no later than December 9, 2022 for the Secretary of State to certify results by the December 16, 2022 deadline. 

 

The Employee Development Department (EDD) has released its 2023 withholding schedules.

 

The withholding schedules include the newly update Unemployment Insurance, Employment Training Tax, State Disability Insurance tax rate and the Meals and Lodging Values.
